| To the Boondock Saints fans - the movie, not the comic strip |

Last week, a guy I work with signed up for Netflix and was wondering some movies he should rent. I gave him a bunch of movies, and Boondock Saints was one that he hadn't heard of.
I told him how it's on every "underrated movie" list blah blah blah. It got me wondering: what happened to that guy Troy Duffy who wrote/directed the movie? It was a good flick, you gotta figure that he must have been swimming in offers. Why hasn't he done anything since?
So fast forward to this weekend, I see a story about a documentary called "Overnight" that chronicles Troy Duffy writing the thing, getting discovered by Miramax, becoming King of LA and then turning everyone against him by being a total asshole. The review (which is weird they were reviewing it this weekend since the documentary came out in '03) really made the documentary sound hilarious. I guess the Duffy guy is totally insane and thinks everyone is out to get him.

on airplanes. This old fat fuck took up 3 seats. To top it off the flight was delayed an hour, while we sat there on the runway. Then they pulled us off the plane cause there was a mechanical failure and made us walked to the other side of the airport to get another plane. I sat next to this fat old fuck the whole time. He was so fat he couldnt put the armrest down so i poped my headphones into the armrest as it was in the upright position and used my cord as a sort of demarkation line. Didnt help, his fat fucking lard just bulged over my wire. What an asshole. People over a certain weight should have to pay for 2 seats. Its completely unfair to other passengers.

I picked this up today after avoiding it like the plague for 2 months because...well, it's fucking Green Day. But I was at CD World picking up some DVD's and they had this big-ass display and I've heard all kinds of good things so I figured why not, how bad can it be?
The verdict: this rocks! Really, really great fucking album. I'm actually shocked how good it is. They've moved away from the bullshit pop-punk sound and made what's basically a punk-rock-opera. It's surprisingly complex, with lots of signature changes and long songs.
Give it a listen, trust me. I have a new respect for a band that I've written off for years as basically talentless hacks. They aren't.

Well, not just Pizar, but all these 3d animated movies. Is anyone else bored with them? I was watching trailers on apple.com, and there's like a bunch of these slick looking 3d digital movies, but, it just seems like there all the same crap, it's all the same childish bullshit. Toy Story 1 and 2 were cool, Shrek was the best, but, I really have no desire to see another one of these types of movies ever again.
