Pick 2 to start this week:
Mushin Muhammed @ Arizona, McCardell @ Oakland, Stokley @ Chicago, Horn @ Denver, Roy Williams @ Minny
Im leaning towards Mushin and Keenan.
Mush has been on fire and has a great matchup against Cards, McCardell has been cruising and has a great matchup as well, and is due for a big breakout game.

just kind of bored?
Put your hands over your eyes with the outside base of your palm (pinkyside) pressed over your eye sockets
rest your elbows on your knees
try to blink for about five seconds (you shouldn't be able to actually blink because your hands are pressed against your eyes, but you should be able to move your eyelids a little meaning your palms aren't really pressed hard against your eyes.
After a bit 20-30 seconds max, your eyes will start to relax and adapt to the darkness, and you should start seeing different shapes and what have you.
I'm curious if everyone sees the same thing, or if it's different.
What happens when I do it, I get this really cool environment of two different patters overlapping.
One is similar to a multicolored (white, gray, and blue) bathroom tile with dime sized squares. But the tile rotates and shakes a bit. All the while there are big blackish/purpleish bubbles that float through the tiles that would be the size of of about 4 tiles long and wide.
The whole picture collapses in or streams out (depending) from a singular point in the middle of my eyesight
The longer I keep my eyes that way, the more defined they get and I just get lost in the halucination and the more things happen with the shapes. They'll be electrical impulses that act as a shockwave through the whole picture, or stars will appear as well.
I used to do it a lot as a kid because it was so inexplainable and I thought it was cool. But I'd forgotten about it for a while and tried it again. Exact same patterns and everything.
two notes:
I'm completely sober
I was never able to see the sailboat (scooner!) in those "relax your eyes" paintings.

Sources: Expos to Be Renamed Nationals

By JOSEPH WHITE
WASHINGTON - The Montreal Expos (news) are about to get their new name: the Washington Nationals. A city official and a baseball official, both speaking on condition of anonymity, said Friday that the team will reveal its new name, cap and red-white-and-blue color scheme during a news conference Monday.

The search for a new name began Sept. 29, when Major League Baseball announced it planned to relocate the team for the 2005 season. Initially, the plan was to wait until the team was sold to select the name, but the sale process is expected to take months — and the team needs to start marketing itself in its new home city immediately.
The top contenders were Nationals, Senators and Grays, with Senators the sentimental favorite. The original American League Senators played in the nation's capital from 1901-60 before moving to Minnesota to become the Twins. The expansion Senators called Washington home from 1961-71 before moving to Texas to become the Rangers. Senators was also the preference of commissioner Bud Selig, even though the Rangers still hold the rights to the name.
But Mayor Anthony Williams objected, saying the name isn't appropriate, given the District of Columbia's lack of representation in the U.S. Senate.
"We don't have senators here," the mayor said in September. "Give us two senators, and I'll be happy to call them the Senators."
Williams preferred the Grays, a tribute to the Homestead Grays, a Negro League team that played many of its games in Washington in the 1930s and 1940s. Historians, however, noted that the Grays' real home was Pittsburgh.
The compromise was Nationals. The Nationals, or Nats, was considered the original official nickname of the 1901-60 team. But fans instead adopted Senators, which was the name of two National League teams in Washington in the late 1800s.
Baseball owners still must approve the move. They delayed a vote when they met Thursday but said one will take place by Dec. 6. The relocation is also contingent on the D.C. government enacting legislation by Dec. 31 to finance a new ballpark.
what a fuckin lousy name, senators was the nostalgic favorite. It's like having the dodgers move back to brooklyn and refusing to use the name. How many lakes are in LA, didnt seem to bother the lakers when they moved.

This past saturday there was a horrible PPV set up by Don King to showcase his title holders. King owns two of the three heavyweight "champions". So he set up a night of heavyweights with both "champs" fighting and 2 other heavyweight bouts. The fights were horrible, it was even comical and sad. Sad was the opening fight with Evander Holyfield at 42 years old losing a shut out to a guy who isnt even ranked by anyone and is also in his 40's. Holyfield got beat up and beat often. In his last 9 fights holyfield has won only 2. One win was against John Ruiz which was very close, the other was a technical win over Rahman after a headbutt, Rahmans head grew another head.
People have been begging Holyfield to retire for years now, he's obviously slurring his speech now, and is just not as sharp as he used to be,it's really sad especially someone who did so much for the sport and who had such an amazing career.
Holyfield said he would continue to fight and finally after years of begging the NYS athelitc commision is making the decision for him and has barred him from boxing in NY and every other commision in the states has said they would honor NY's decision and also bar Holyfield from getting a license in any state.
Ofcourse he can go overseas and fight but maybe this will convince him to finally just retire. Ofcourse he said he will find a way to continue even after this, it's just pathetic and sad to have seen a legend fall like that and not wanna give up.
